Job summary

RecruitmentPlus on behalf of our client is hiring an Area Sales Rep to cover Munster/Connacht and across Ireland. You will conduct technical product demonstrations, research target markets, plan sales strategies and manage entire sales cycles with senior management collaboration.

Knowledge of hydraulics and B2B sales experience are highly beneficial; the role requires building on an established client base, expanding into Agri, Construction, Manufacturing, Pharma and more, with a strong emphasis

Qualifications

• Strong consultative / solution selling and account management with upselling.
• Commercial understanding of complex professional-use products.
• Highly resilient, goal-oriented and independent worker.
• Fluent in English with full clean driver's licence.

RecruitmentPlus on behalf of our client have an exciting role for an Area Sales Rep to join their business. This is a global organisation well established in Ireland who are seeking to expand their business building on their current client base.

Applicants should be confident in conducting technical product demonstrations, researching target markets, planning sales strategies and managing sales cycles, very much in collaboration with the rest of the team, including senior management.

Knowledge and experience within the hydraulics and associated products industry B2B sales is highly beneficial, including those coming from a hands-on/fitter etc type background with sales experience and who have the aptitude and ability to transition into a strong sales person. Territory will cover the whole island alongside another senior sales professional, but might particularly suit those located in the Munster or Connacht regions.

There is an established customer base to work with but this role very much will be to expand and further grow this across location and industries such as Agri, Construction, Manufacturing, Pharma, Mining, Plant Hire, Marine etc.

Requirements:

• Have a proven track record in B2B sales to end-users or SME’s.
• Strong background in consultative / solution selling and account management, up-selling and cross-selling.
• Have a commercial understanding of complex products intended for professional use.
• Highly resilient, goal-oriented and able to work independently.
• Ability to identify customer needs, analyse market trends and utilise CRM systems.
• Has the desire to achieve and enjoys building out a client base.
• Full clean drivers licence & fluent in the English language.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Actively manage and develop sales to improve market presence, through developing existing customer accounts and bringing in new.
• Be directly engaged in the collection of information, generation of insights and recommendations.
• Ensure and promote “customer first” focus.
• Provide competitive analysis to identify opportunities and best practices.
• Ensure detailed market and customer analysis and monitoring by sector and trends.
