Bloomsbury Publishing Plc in Ireland is seeking an Area Sales Manager, Ireland maternity cover, to join our established sales team of three, covering Bloomsbury Consumer, Adult, Children’s, Special Interest and Head of Zeus titles into the Republic of Ireland. The role is home-based with quarterly face-to-face interactions in the London office and requires a full driving licence.

You will manage trading relationships, develop new customers, work with Consumer Teams, and support the Senior Key

Responsibilities

• Sell Bloomsbury titles in the Ireland territory and grow trading relationships to meet UK Sales team targets.
• Collaborate with Consumer Teams to maximise sales across lists in the Irish market.
• Identify and develop new customer relationships and propose suitable product solutions.
• Coordinate author events and liaise with London contacts to provide marketing support.

Bloomsbury Publishing is looking for an Area Sales Manager, Ireland maternity cover, to join our established sales team of 3 people selling the Bloomsbury Consumer – Bloomsbury Adult, Children’s, Special Interest and Head of Zeus - titles into the territory of Ireland.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic, and sales-hungry professional with a real passion for launching and growing sales of titles by new and established authors to be part of the wider, fast-growing, fast-moving, and high-performing Sales Team of a top 5 UK publisher.

The Area Sales Manager, Ireland, may be responsible for a specific area of the lists and customer base, depending on the broader expertise and opportunities that come up through the recruiting process.

The role will report into the Senior Key Account Manager, Ireland and will be based from home in Ireland with team support from the 3rd team member, a sales assistant based in London, and will require periodic trips to our London office (likely 4 times a year).

• Responsible for sales in the territory, management of the trading relationships and working directly with all customers to grow sales and achieve UK Sales team targets.
• To work closely with different Consumer Teams to maximize all divisional sales through the Irish market.
• Identifying and developing new relationships with potential customers, ensuring customer needs are understood and selecting appropriate product solutions.
• Working with the wider Bloomsbury teams to ensure customers have all the necessary material and information to maximize sales of our books and liaise with office-based contacts to coordinate author events
• Provide general support to the Senior Key Account Manager, Ireland as required, including market research, gathering market feedback and data analysis.
