Job summary

Dornan is recruiting an Architectural Technologist for our Headquarters in Little Island, Cork. You will be the architectural lead across Ireland, the UK and Mainland Europe on data centre projects, guiding design from inception to handover.

You will review architectural submissions, liaise with suppliers, and provide support to construction, commercial, quality and planning teams. Join a team focused on precise delivery and cross-border collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience on large-scale or office projects.
• Third level qualification.
• Experience with AutoCAD/Revit/Navisworks is expected.

Responsibilities

• Work on data centre projects from inception to handover.
• Conduct site visits in Ireland, UK and Europe.
• Assist pre-start meetings with contractors.
• Provide architectural support to construction, commercial, QA and planning teams.
• Review design requirements and liaise with suppliers on technical matters.
• Undertake design reviews with clients, design teams and contractors.
• Review architectural submissions and generate RFIs.
• Ensure compliance with building standards across countries.
• Aid in producing detailed documentation.
• Collaborate as part of the CSA team.

Dornan are currently recruiting for an Architectural Technologist to join our team in our Headquarters in Little Island, Cork.

Reporting to the Business Unit CSA Lead you will be the architectural point of contact across all projects in Ireland, UK & Mainland Europe.

Your day to day will include:

• Working on a number of various data centre projects ranging in size, location and value from inception to handover.
• Site visits, to projects in Ireland, UK and mainland Europe.
• Assist with pre-start meetings with contractors.
• Provide architectural support to construction team, commercial, quality and planning teams.
• Review architectural design requirements and liaise with suppliers regarding technical matters.
• Undertake design reviews / meetings with the client, design team and contractors.
• Responsible for reviewing Architectural Technical Submissions and generation of RFI’s and tracking thereof.
• Ensuring compliance with Building standards and regulations across multiple countries
• Aid with the production of detailed documentation.
• Working as part of the new CSA team.

What we are looking for:

• Architectural design and Specification and experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience working on large scale or office projects
• Third level qualification.
• Experience using AutoCAD/Revit/Navis works
• Good communication skills.
• Good understanding of design principles and construction.
• Able to work as a team but also to work on own initiative.
• Confident and ambitious, with the willingness to progress on a long-term basis
