Job summary

MPG Recruitment is partnering with a globally recognised financial services organisation to recruit an Application Support Analyst for their Irish office in Dublin.

The role combines Application Support with hands-on IT Support, requiring 3+ years of experience and the ability to work with European IT teams. It offers a hybrid Dublin arrangement (4 days on-site), and a salary of €45,000–€55,000 with up to 10% bonus and a 10% employer pension.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a role combining Application Support and IT Support.
• Experience supporting, configuring or troubleshooting business applications (CRM/ERP/LOB).
• Experience with testing, change management and documentation.
• Experience working with third-party software vendors and suppliers.
• Strong Microsoft 365 and Windows Server experience.
• Exposure to AWS and ITSM tools (ManageEngine or ServiceNow).

Responsibilities

• Support and configure business-critical applications, including front/back office systems.
• Investigate issues, identify root causes and coordinate with vendors to resolution.
• Monitor system interfaces, integrations and batch processes.
• Gather and document business requirements and support changes.
• Create test plans, perform testing and capture evidence before go-live.
• Support change management with user communications and documentation.

Application Support Analyst (with hands-on IT Support)

Dublin | Hybrid (4 days on-site)

€45K to €55K depending on experience

MPG Recruitment is exclusively partnering with a globally recognised financial services organisation to recruit an Application Support Analyst for their Irish office.

Please note: this role requires both Application Support and IT Support experience.

Candidates with IT Support / Service Desk experience only will not be suitable for this position.

You will be the local IT expert in Ireland, supporting the business-critical applications that run the organisation day to day, alongside hands-on support for local users. You'll work closely with a wider European IT team.

Application Support (the core of the role)

• Supporting and configuring business-critical applications, including front office/point of sale and back office/contract management systems
• Investigating application issues, identifying root causes and working with third-party vendors through to resolution
• Monitoring system interfaces, integrations and batch processes
• Gathering and documenting business requirements and supporting system changes
• Creating test plans, carrying out testing and capturing test evidence before changes go live
• Supporting change management, including user communication and documentation
• Managing user access and role-based permissions within applications
• Producing SLA, performance and operational reports

IT Support

• Providing hands-on support to local users, including laptops, imaging, mobile device enrolment, printing and meeting room technology
• Logging and managing incidents and requests through ManageEngine, and supporting the upcoming migration to ServiceNow
• Maintaining IT equipment records and supporting audits

What we're looking for

• 3+ years' experience in a role combining Application Support and IT Support
• Proven experience supporting, configuring or troubleshooting business applications (e.g. CRM, finance, ERP or line-of-business systems), not just end-user devices
• Experience with application testing, change management and documentation
• Experience working with third-party software vendors and suppliers
• Strong Microsoft 365 and Windows Server experience
• Exposure to AWS
• Experience with an ITSM tool, ideally ManageEngine or ServiceNow
• Strong communication skills, comfortable working with business users as well as technical teams

SQL | PowerShell | Business Analysis | ITIL | Mobile Device Management | Financial Services, Banking or Motor Finance | Degree in IT or related discipline

This is a varied role with real scope to grow. Further work is expected to transfer from the European team to Ireland, and the organisation plans to expand the local IT team, creating genuine opportunities for development and progression. Flexible start times are also available.
