Job summary

MSD in Ireland is seeking an API Process Engineer to own manufacturing process equipment and drive optimization across product processes. You will lead improvements to quality, yields and throughput, interface with new product development, and support technology transfer and scale-up for late-stage products.

The role requires an Honours degree in Chemical Engineering and at least 2 years in API NPI or related environments, with strong problem-solving, planning and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 year’s experience in API NPI, production or related environment.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and effectively manage time, meet deadlines and produce quality deliverables.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
• Decision making - analyses issues to support timely decisions.

Responsibilities

• Take direct ownership of manufacturing process equipment and product processes.
• Lead process and equipment optimisation to sustain and improve product quality, yields and throughput.
• Interface with new product development groups to integrate new products into Ballydine facility.
• Execute process development on existing products or new late-stage clinical products including scale up to plant equipment.
• Identify continuous improvement activities and lead cross-functional teams.
• Provide on-the-floor technical support to Production Team Leaders for process/equipment optimization.
