Job summary

Morgan McKinley is assisting in recruiting a Senior Process Commercialisation Engineer for a leading pharmaceutical site in Ireland. The role focuses on bringing processes from development through to commercial manufacture, including technology transfers and NPI initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in pharmaceutical API manufacturing or process development, with strong API processing, scale-up and cross-functional leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in pharmaceutical API manufacturing or process development.
• Strong knowledge of chemical API processing and scale-up.
• Experience with commercialisation, NPI or technology transfer.
• Track record of solving complex technical/manufacturing problems.
• Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support new product introductions and technology transfers.
• Perform process development, optimisation and scale-up of chemical API processes.
• Support commercial manufacturing campaigns and process readiness.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and lead deviation investigations.
• Work across process safety, validation, regulatory and environmental activities.
• Identify process constraints and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with global R&D and cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical leadership and develop SME in API processing.

I’m currently supporting a leading global pharmaceutical organisation with the appointment of a Senior Process Commercialisation Engineer at their manufacturing site in Ireland.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced API process engineer / process development professional who enjoys working at the point where process development, scale-up, technology transfer and commercial manufacturing come together.

The role will play a key part in bringing new products and technologies into commercial manufacture, as well as supporting transfers to and from the site.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Leading and supporting new product introductions and technology transfers
• Process development, optimisation and scale-up of chemical API processes
• Supporting commercial manufacturing campaigns and process readiness
• Troubleshooting technical issues and leading deviation investigations
• Working across process safety, validation, regulatory and environmental activities
• Identifying process constraints and opportunities for improvement
• Working closely with global R&D and cross-functional teams
• Providing technical leadership and developing subject matter expertise in API processing

We're particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have:

• 5+ years' experience in pharmaceutical API manufacturing or process development
• Strong knowledge of chemical API processing and scale-up
• Experience with commercialisation, NPI or technology transfer
• A track record of solving complex technical/manufacturing problems
