Job summary

MSD Ireland is seeking an API Process Engineer to own manufacturing process equipment and product processes at Ballydine facility. You will lead process and equipment optimisation to improve product quality, yields and throughput, and support integration of new products from development to production.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• Minimum 2 years' API NPI or production experience.
• Strong planning, time management and delivery of quality results.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making and change-management abilities.
• Demonstrated drive to implement improvements.
• Ability to adapt to cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Take direct ownership of manufacturing process equipment and product processes.
• Lead process and equipment optimisation to sustain and improve quality, yields and throughput.
• Interface with new product development groups to integrate new products into Ballydine facility.
• Execute process development on existing or new late-stage products including scale-up.
• Identify continuous improvement activities and lead cross-functional teams.
• Provide on-the-floor technical support to Production Team Leaders.
• Support campaigns and lead process/cleaning recipe management and documentation.
• Lead facility preparations for cleaning and turnaround.
• Ensure safety, quality and environmental compliance goals are met.
• Expert knowledge in Operations areas such as Safety, Launch Platform, Dry End, Recipe Management.
• Manage procedures/SOPs and drive major capital projects input.
