Qualifications

• MRO composite repair workshop/hangar environment preferred.
• Fully conversant with use of heat bond equipment (Heatcon).
• Conversant with handling and storage of all composite materials.
• Fibreglass & Carbon layup repair experience is essential.
• Experience in inspection and creation of work cards/work packs is essential.
• Excellent spoken and written English is essential.

Responsibilities

• Organise and evaluate repairs.
• Carry out composite repairs in accordance with approved maintenance data.
• Ensure aircraft documentation is completed per MOE and procedures.
• Order and progress spares.
• Maintain a high standard of work across tasks.

Ryanair Engineering Delivered by PAM Ireland Ltd has an exciting opportunity for Aircraft Composites Mechanics to join our team in our facility at Hangar 5, Shannon Airport. Reporting to the Check/Zone Supervisor, the successful candidates will join a team of highly skilled staff, contributing to the safe maintenance of a fleet of 600+ aircraft for one of the world's largest and most successful airlines. This role provides an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment, offering significant growth potential in the aviation industry.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Responsible for organising and evaluating repairs.
• Carry out composite repairs in accordance with approved maintenance data.
• Ensuring aircraft documentation is completed in accordance with the MOE and company procedures.
• Ordering & progressing spares.
• Maintain a high standard of work in all tasks.
• Follow company procedures, regulations and policies. Ensuring the work area and environment is safe, clean and tidy at all times.
• Assist with developing skills of composite staff.
• Assist with other zones as and when required.
• Maintain awareness and ensure best practises are observed for Health and Safety and Human Factors. Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment at all times.
• Adherence to all company procedures, regulations, and safe working practices.
• Perform any additional tasks reasonably assigned by the Check/Zone Supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• MRO composite repair workshop/hangar environment preferred
• Fully conversant with use of hot bond equipment (Heatcon)
• Conversant with handling and storage of all composite materials
• Metal bond experience essential, flight control surface and nacelle experience desirable
• Fibreglass & Carbon wet layup repair experience essential
• Fibreglass & Carbon pre-impregnated repair experience essential
• Experienced in Inspection and creation of work cards /work packs essential
• Excellent spoken and written English is essential
• Flexible approach to working in a fast-changing environment
• Good computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and similar applications.
• Excellent spoken and written English is essential.

This role is Shift Work. Day Shift 7am-7pm and Night Shift 7pm-7am. 12-hour rotating shift of 5 on / 3 off, 4 on / 4 off. You will work 2,080 hours per annum, averaging 40 hours per week.
