Job summary

Prestwick Aircraft Maintenance IRE Ltd in Shannon invites skilled Aircraft Mechanics to join our team, contributing to safe maintenance of a large airline fleet. You will report to the Check/Zone Supervisor and perform both routine and non-routine tasks to the highest standards.

You will work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with 12-hour rotating shifts (7am-7pm and 7pm-7am), 2,080 hours per year, and strong emphasis on documentation, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• A recognised apprenticeship or traineeship within the aircraft industry is essential.
• Hands-on heavy maintenance experience with base maintenance knowledge.
• Experience as aircraft mechanic on Boeing 737 NG/MAX desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Good computer literacy with Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and non-routine aircraft maintenance tasks.
• Ensure aircraft documentation is completed and certified per MOE and procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Adhere to company procedures, regulations, and safe working practices.
• Carry out other tasks assigned by the Check/Zone Supervisor.

Reporting to the Check/Zone Supervisor, the successful candidates will join a team of highly skilled staff, contributing to the safe maintenance of a fleet of 600+ aircraft for one of the world's largest and most successful airlines. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the completion of routine and non-routine aircraft maintenance tasks.
• Ensuring aircraft documentation is completed and certified in accordance with the MOE and company procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment at all times.
• Adherence to all company procedures, regulations, and safe working practices
• Carry out any other tasks as reasonably required by the Check/Zone Supervisor.
• Maintain awareness and ensure best practices are observed for Health and Safety and Human Factors.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• A recognised apprenticeship or traineeship within the aircraft industry is essential.
• Previous hands-on heavy maintenance experience along with extensive knowledge of base maintenance activities.
• Experience in working as an aircraft mechanic on Boeing 737 NG / MAX is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
• Good Computer literacy with experience and knowledge of Microsoft Word, excel etc.
• Flexible approach to work in a fast-changing environment

This role is Shift Work. Day Shift 7am-7pm and Night Shift 7pm-7am.12-hour rotating shift of 5 on / 3 off, 4 on / 4 off. You will work 2,080 hours per annum, averaging 40 hours per week.
