Job summary

Responsibilities

• Translate business ideas into AI-enabled software prototypes with senior engineers and product stakeholders.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a curious, hands-on AI Solutions Engineer (L5) to join our growing platform engineering team in Dublin.

In this role, you will work alongside senior engineers and product owners to rapidly prototype, test, and develop AI-enabled software solutions. You will be at the forefront of applying modern AI capabilities to solve real business challenges, learning through active experimentation and direct user feedback.

We are looking for someone with solid software engineering fundamentals, a passion for exploring new AI tools, and the drive to learn quickly. Personal projects, open-source contributions, or self-directed experimentation with AI models are highly valued for this position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

AI Solution Delivery

• Work with senior engineers and product stakeholders to translate business ideas into practical, AI-enabled software prototypes.
• Extensively utilize AI-assisted development tools to generate, test, debug, and refine code rapidly.
• Experiment with different prompts, architectures, and technical approaches to evaluate what works best for end-users.
• Help transition successful prototypes into secure, maintainable, and production-ready applications.

Software Engineering & Quality

• Apply core software engineering principles to review, validate, and improve AI-generated code.
• Participate in peer code reviews, testing automation, design discussions, and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Operate within established enterprise security, architecture, and governance guidelines with support from senior technical colleagues.

AI Capability Building

• Build, test, and share effective prompt templates, workflows, and technical components across the team.
• Stay up to date with emerging AI technologies, tools, and practices, identifying ways to apply them to current projects.
• Document learnings and technical patterns to support the wider engineering community.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with business users, product leads, and global engineering colleagues.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly, gather user feedback, and use that feedback to refine applications.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Practical Experience & Knowledge

• AI Tooling & Prototyping: Practical experience using AI development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) to build software prototypes or features (via professional work, personal projects, or open-source builds).
• Software Engineering Fundamentals: Solid understanding of core programming principles, data structures, algorithms, and working directly with code.
• Tech Stack Exposure: Familiarity with modern programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, Java, or C#.
• Prompt Engineering: Understanding of prompt engineering techniques and AI-assisted development workflows.
• Growth Mindset: Strong eagerness to learn new tech stacks, adapt to changing requirements, and pivot when an initial approach does not work.

Desirable / Useful Exposure (Nice to Have)

• Exposure to cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Basic understanding of containerization (Docker) and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with version control workflows (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
