Job summary

Morgan McKinley in Dublin is seeking a hands-on Senior Full-Stack AI Engineer (L6) to join our platform engineering team. You will own end-to-end, AI-enabled software solutions bridging backend, cloud, AI capabilities, and modern web interfaces.

The role requires 5+ years in full-stack development (Python, Angular/React, REST/GraphQL) and hands-on AI experience with LLMs, RAG, and CI/CD in a secure enterprise setting. This is a hybrid Dublin position with visa eligibility for Stamp 4.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in full-stack software development (front-end, back-end).
• Hands-on AI experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, vector databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and CI/CD.
• Proficiency in Python and modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular/React/TS).

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a hands‑on Senior Full-Stack AI Engineer (L6) to join our growing platform engineering team in Dublin.

In this role, you will take ownership of building end‑to‑end, AI‑enabled software solutions directly for end-users. You will bridge complex backend systems, cloud infrastructure, generative AI capabilities, and modern web interfaces to transform business requirements into secure, high‑performing applications.

Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will combine strong software engineering fundamentals (Python, React/Angular, Cloud) with practical AI implementation (LLMs, RAG, tool integration) to rapidly prototype, build, and deploy production‑grade software.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

End-to-End Application Delivery

• Design, build, and maintain production‑grade full-stack web applications that integrate AI and Large Language Model (LLM) capabilities.
• Develop robust backend APIs, services, and asynchronous workflows using Python and modern backend frameworks.
• Craft responsive, intuitive, and high-performance front-end interfaces using Angular, React, or modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Take ideas from initial user concept and rapid prototyping through iterative validation to production deployment.

AI Integration & Architecture

• Embed modern AI patterns‑including Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), vector search/embeddings, prompt engineering, and agentic workflows‑into front‑office applications.
• Use AI development tools and assistants extensively to design, generate, test, debug, and accelerate delivery.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and multi‑model strategies to determine the best approach for specific business problems.

Software Engineering & Quality

• Apply sound engineering judgment to review, validate, and optimize AI‑generated code and system architectures.
• Architect solutions that are secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise security policies and regulatory requirements.
• Implement modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD automation, containerization, test automation, and system observability.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner directly with business stakeholders, product leads, and cross‑functional technology teams to translate complex requirements into working software.
• Communicate ideas clearly, constructively challenge assumptions, and use continuous user feedback to drive practical outcomes.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Essential Technical Experience

• Full-Stack Engineering: 5+ years of software development experience across both front‑end (Angular, React, or TypeScript) and back‑end (Python, REST/GraphQL APIs, Microservices).
• AI & LLM Integration: Hands‑on experience building applications powered by Generative AI, LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, and AI agent frameworks.
• Modern AI Tooling: Practical experience using AI‑assisted engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar).
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Database & Data Layer: Proficiency with relational databases, document stores, and vector databases.
