Job summary

Morgan McKinley in Dublin is seeking a curious, hands-on AI Solutions Engineer (L5) to join our platform engineering team on a permanent basis. You will prototype, test, and develop AI-enabled software with senior engineers, applying modern AI capabilities to real business challenges while learning through active experimentation and user feedback.

Qualifications

• AI tooling and prototyping experience using tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code or similar.
• Solid understanding of core programming principles, data structures, algorithms, and writing clean, maintainable code.
• Exposure to modern languages (Python, TypeScript, Java, or C#).
• Knowledge of prompt engineering techniques and AI-assisted development workflows.
• Growth mindset with eagerness to learn new tech stacks and pivot when needed.

Responsibilities

• Translate business ideas into AI-enabled software prototypes with senior engineers and product stakeholders.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to generate, test, debug, and refine code rapidly.
• Experiment with prompts, architectures, and approaches to optimize for end users.
• Transition successful prototypes into secure, maintainable production-ready applications.
• Review, validate, and improve AI-generated code; participate in peer reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
• Adhere to enterprise security, architecture, and governance guidelines.
