Job summary

Albert Bow in Dublin is seeking a Staff Product Engineer to shape architecture and strategy for AI-powered customer experiences. You will work directly with customers, own critical systems, and mentor an engineering team in a fast-moving startup.

You'll design and build AI-driven retrieval pipelines, LLM workflows, and real-time analytics, using React, Next.js and modern frontend tech to deliver scalable, high-impact product experiences.

Staff Product Engineer | Dublin, Ireland | AI / Customer Experience Technology | Competitive Salary + Equity

We're partnering with an AI-native startup transforming how customer support teams learn, improve and scale. By combining generative AI, conversation intelligence and real-time simulations, they're helping some of the world's most ambitious companies deliver better customer experiences without losing the human touch.

They're now building out their Dublin engineering hub and are looking for a Staff Product Engineer to become a key technical leader within the business. This is a highly visible role where you'll shape architecture, influence product strategy, work directly with customers, and help build a world-class engineering team.

You’ll own some of the company's most critical systems, from AI-powered retrieval pipelines and LLM workflows to customer-facing product experiences. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building, leading, and solving complex problems in a fast-moving startup environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead technical direction across key product areas, driving architecture, scalability, reliability and engineering best practices
• Design and build AI-powered products that process thousands of customer interactions across platforms.
• Own LLM-powered workflows including prompt engineering, retrieval systems, evaluation frameworks, observability and AI guardrails
• Build real-time analytics, coaching and performance scoring systems that deliver measurable improvements to customer support teams
• Develop intuitive product experiences using React, Next.js and modern frontend technologies
• Partner directly with customers to understand challenges, validate product decisions and identify high-impact opportunities
• Mentor engineers, raise the technical bar and help grow a high-performing engineering team in Dublin
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design and GTM teams to take ideas from concept to production

Skills & Experience

• Strong software engineering background with experience building scalable customer-facing products
• Proven technical leadership experience, including architecture ownership and influencing engineering direction
• Expertise across modern web technologies including React, Next.js, TypeScript and API-driven architectures
• Experience building or integrating AI products, LLM applications, retrieval systems or data-intensive platforms
• Strong product mindset with an ability to balance technical excellence and customer outcomes
• Experience mentoring engineers and helping teams grow and succeed
• Comfortable working directly with customers and translating real-world problems into product solutions
• Thrives in fast-paced startup environments where ownership, initiative and adaptability are key
• Experience with conversational AI, customer support platforms, analytics systems or SaaS products
