Job summary

Version 1 is seeking an experienced Senior AI Engineer to design, develop, and deliver AI-enabled solutions for large-scale organisations. You will build proof-of-concept and production AI applications, work across backend services, ML infrastructure, LLMs, multi-agent systems and modern web technologies.

You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, apply MLOps, create intuitive interfaces, and ensure compliance with GDPR and EU AI Act.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI or related field.
• Experience in AI/ML engineering or applied machine learning.
• Experience with Azure, AWS and GCP environments.
• Experience across full AI lifecycle from problem definition to monitoring.
• Experience in NLP, predictive analytics, recommendations, or computer vision.
• Contributions to open-source or research publications.
• Experience with AI governance and model management.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries.
• Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms and software engineering.
• Cloud experience with Azure or AWS.
• Experience with ML Ops tools like Azure ML or MLflow.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and container deployments.
• SQL and relational database design knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving and willingness to learn.
• Awareness of security, compliance, and regulatory aspects of AI.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop back-end AI-powered applications and services.
• Build and integrate LLMs and multi-agent systems (Semantic Kernel, LangChain).
• Design front-end interfaces for AI apps using React, Vue.js, Angular.
• Integrate front-end with AI APIs and back-end services via REST/GraphQL.
• Collaborate with data engineers, UX, product managers and QA.
• Apply MLOps for model deployment, monitoring, lifecycle management.

• Mentor team members and share knowledge.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior AI Engineer to design, develop and deliver AI-enabled solutions for large-scale organisations.

The role involves developing proof-of-concept and production AI applications, working across backend services, machine learning infrastructure, large language models, multi-agent systems and modern web technologies. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver AI solutions that meet business and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain back-end AI-powered applications and services.
• Build and integrate LLMs and multi-agent systems using frameworks such such as Semantic Kernel, LangChain, or similar technologies.
• Design and implement front-end interfaces for AI applications using modern frameworks including React, Vue.js and Angular.
• Integrate front-end components with AI APIs and backend services using REST and GraphQL.
• Collaborate with data engineers, UX designers, product managers and QA teams to deliver AI solutions.
• Apply MLOps practices for model deployment, monitoring and lifecycle management.
• Develop intuitive, accessible and standards-compliant user interfaces for AI applications.
• Support team members through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
• Maintain documentation covering AI models, limitations, assumptions and implementation decisions.
• Ensure development activities align with GDPR, EU AI Act requirements and Responsible AI principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or a related discipline.
• Experience in AI/ML engineering or applied machine learning.
• Experience working with Azure, AWS and GCP environments.
• Experience delivering solutions across the full AI lifecycle, including problem definition, data preparation, model development, deployment and monitoring.
• Experience delivering AI/ML solutions across domains such as natural language processing, predictive analytics, recommendation systems or computer vision.
• Contributions to open-source projects or research publications.
• Experience contributing to AI governance, model management and technology selection activities.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in Python and machine learning libraries.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms and software engineering principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Experience with ML Ops tools such as Azure Machine Learning or MLflow.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and containerised deployments.
• Understanding of SQL and relational database design.
• Problem-solving capability and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Knowledge of security, compliance and regulatory considerations relevant to AI-enabled services.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working collaboratively within delivery teams.
