Donegalchildcare is seeking an Afterschool Leader for Rockfield National School, Knocknashangan, Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal. The role supports SAC operation 25 hours per week and works with an assistant to provide a high‑quality, inclusive learning environment for children.

Qualifications

• First Aid, Manual Handling, and Children First (TUSLA) training desirable but not essential.

• Maintain accurate records, including attendance.
• Follow all health, safety, and child protection policies and procedures.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support smooth daily operations and a positive team environment.
• Attend and contribute to staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development days.

Purpose of the Role

The Afterschool Leader is responsible for the day‑to‑day running of the SAC in collaboration with the assistant, ensuring a high‑quality, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment for all children.

Key Responsibilities
