Réaltaí Bhríde Afterschool in Dublin is seeking a manager for an immediate start to oversee afterschool operations. You will liaise with owners, staff, parents, the school and outside agencies to ensure smooth running and plan engaging activities for the children.

Candidates should have excellent spoken English (Irish optional), First Aid, Food Safety, QQI Level 5 in childcare, and a kind, gentle manner with children. The role starts at 15 hours per week, rising to 20 hours from September 2027.

Competenze

• Excellent level of spoken English (Irish optional).
• First Aid training is preferred.
• Food Safety course completed.
• QQI Level 5 in childcare required or desirable.

Mansioni

• Liaise with owners, staff, parents, the school and outside agencies to facilitate the smooth running of the Afterschool.
• Prepare and plan activities for Afterschool children.
• Ensure children’s safety and welfare at all times.
• Compile and monitor staff rosters and ensure coverage and ratios are maintained.
• Handle registrations and ensure care plans and forms are up to date.
• Undertake other duties as requested by directors.

Réaltaí Bhríde Afterschool is a School Aged Childcare service for children from Junior Infants to 6th class within a primary gaelscoil in Dublin 6.

We require a manager for our afterschool for an immediate start.

The role will consist of, but not be limited to:

• 15 hours per week (to increase to 20 hours + from September 2027)
• Liaising with owners, staff, parents, school & outside agencies in order to facilitate the smooth running of the Afterschool
• Preparing and planning activities for Afterschool children
• Ensuring children’s safety and welfare at all times
• Compiling and monitoring of staff rosters and ensuring there is cover and that the service is within ratio at all times
• Registrations – ensuring forms, care plans, etc are up to date
• Other duties which directors may ask from time to time

Candidates would ideally have an excellent level of spoken English (some Irish is also preferable), First Aid training, Food Safety course, QQI Level 5 in childcare and a kind, gentle manner with children.
