Job summary

FRS Recruitment is assisting a public sector client in Clonakilty, West Cork, with a six‑month temporary Administrator role to support the day‑to‑day running of the training campus.

The post requires QQI Level 5, strong IT skills and at least 1 year of administration experience. You will manage reception, use Outlook/Teams, handle records, assist with events, keep GDPR-compliant files and help with reports and course delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to College Principal, Assistant Principal, and College Staff Officer.
  • Act as the first point of contact for students, visitors, and the public, delivering professional customer service.
  • Manage reception and telephone enquiries.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Organise meetings and appointments using Outlook, Teams, and other relevant systems.
  • Update the website and social media channels.
  • Manage student attendance using SEAtS.
  • Process student records and produce student ID cards.
  • Operate and maintain the traffic barrier system.
  • Provide administrative support to teaching staff and assist with course delivery.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and other documents as required.
  • Assist with the organisation of events and promotional activities.
  • Purchase goods and services in line with financial procedures.
  • Maintain accurate financial records for income and expenditure.
  • Manage filing systems and ensure compliance with GDPR and record retention requirements.
  • Support the development of the Business Plan.
  • Contribute to the delivery of high-quality customer service and continuous service improvement.
  • Comply with all health, safety, and welfare policies and procedures.
  • Participate in business planning and performance management processes.
  • Carry out any other duties appropriate to the role as assigned.
