Job summary

GPC Finance is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join its finance team in Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to broaden their accounting experience and develop their career within a supportive and dynamic environment.

You will manage day-to-day ledgers, VAT returns, payroll support, and month-end close, with a focus on accuracy and collaboration across the business.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounts, bookkeeping or finance administration.
• Construction industry experience is advantageous.
• Accounting Technician qualification or studying ACCA/ACA/CPA/CIMA/ ATI.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise workload.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day administration of the sales and purchase ledgers, including invoicing and reconciliations.
• Prepare VAT returns, subcontractor payments, and Revenue compliance support.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and monthly credit card reconciliations.
• Assist with payroll administration and employee records management.
• Support month-end close, reporting and general finance administration.
