Job summary

GPC Finance is seeking an proactive Accounts Administrator to join a busy finance team in Leinster. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will oversee day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate records while supporting business performance.

The role suits a part-qualified or qualified accounting professional with at least 3 years’ experience. You will handle sales and purchase ledgers, VAT returns, month-end journals, and assist audit requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience within an accounts or finance function.
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, accounting processes and internal controls.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily finance operations including sales ledger, purchase ledger, invoicing, supplier payments, account reconciliations, and cash management.
• Prepare financial information including VAT and statutory returns, month-end journals, accruals, prepayments, fixed asset records, and management reports.
• Support budgeting, cash flow forecasting, payroll administration, year-end accounts preparation, and external audit requirements.
• Maintain strong financial controls, improve finance processes and systems, and provide administrative support across the wider business.
