Job summary

HireIQ is seeking a qualified or nearly qualified accountant to join a multinational finance team in Ireland. You will lead monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for a portfolio of entities, including IFRS and local GAAP, and take ownership of ledger activities across intercompany, fixed assets and tax.

Qualifications

• Qualified or nearly qualified accountant.
• Experience in multinational or multi-entity accounting environment.
• Exposure to IFRS, local GAAP and/or US GAAP beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for a portfolio of entities across multiple accounting frameworks.
• Own figures feeding into the general ledger from across finance, including fixed assets, intercompany, accounts receivable/payable, cash and indirect tax.
• Review and process ledger transactions, including balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close controls.
• Proactively investigate and resolve reconciling items.
• Partner closely with colleagues across Asset Management, Commercial, FP&A and site operations.
• Contribute to the ongoing standardisation and improvement of finance processes internationally.

They operate a matrix finance function with dedicated specialisms across areas such as construction accounting, treasury and tax, with a strong focus on control, compliance and process standardisation across the wider finance operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for a portfolio of entities across multiple accounting frameworks
• Take ownership of figures feeding into the general ledger from across finance, including fixed assets, intercompany, accounts receivable/payable, cash and indirect tax
• Review and process ledger transactions, including balance sheet reconciliations and month‑end close controls
