Job summary

Coopman Search and Selection | B Corp™ is representing a leading international financial services group recruiting a Financial Accountant for its Dublin finance team. The role offers hands-on accounting with exposure to international stakeholders and Group Finance.

You will manage monthly and quarterly reporting, forecasting and financial controls, review P&L and balance sheet, and support intercompany reporting within an integrated finance function.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant with 2-3+ years' post-qualification experience.
  • Experience within financial services, banking, insurance or reinsurance.
  • Strong financial reporting and management accounting experience.
  • Good understanding of P&L and balance sheet reporting.
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle or another ERP system would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident communicator who is comfortable dealing with international stakeholders.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to work independently.
  • Someone who is happy to get involved, follow things through and take ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
  • Analyse P&L and balance sheet results and investigate variances.
  • Support Group consolidation and reporting.
  • Prepare and monitor quarterly forecasts.
  • Provide commentary on financial performance.
  • Review premiums, commissions and claims.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
  • Work with international business units and service companies to obtain and validate financial information.
  • Follow up on outstanding information and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support intercompany reporting and reconciliations.
  • Assist with process and control improvements.
  • Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc projects and analysis.

Job description

We are working with a leading international financial services group who are looking to hire a Financial Accountant to join their growing Dublin finance team.


This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant with experience in financial services, banking, insurance or reinsurance who wants a hands-on role with strong exposure to international stakeholders and Group Finance.


The role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take responsibility for assigned business units and support monthly and quarterly reporting, forecasting and financial controls.


You will also work closely with international entities and Group Finance, making this a good opportunity for someone who enjoys a role that combines accounting, analysis and stakeholder management.


Key responsibilities
