Job summary

Engage People Recruitment in Ireland is seeking a Part Qualified Accountant / Accounts Assistant for a North Dublin Hybrid role. The successful candidate will join a growing international finance team and gain exposure to multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction work across Europe and the UK, with a focus on supporting month-end, reconciliations and reporting.

You will handle month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT across jurisdictions, and assist with management accounts, intercompany

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Strong month-end and reconciliation experience.
• VAT exposure across jurisdictions.
• Exposure to Power BI and data reporting tools.
• High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Month-end journals (accruals, prepayments, reclasses).
• Balance sheet and bank reconciliations across multiple entities.
• Assisting with management accounts and reporting packs.
• Intercompany reconciliations and variance analysis.
• VAT returns across multiple jurisdictions.
• Maintaining the fixed asset register.
• Supporting audits and ongoing finance projects.
• Assisting with reporting and data analysis using Power BI.

I'm working with a growing international business looking to hire a Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys the detail side of accounting and wants exposure to multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction work across Europe and the UK.

The Role

You'll support the wider finance function across a range of areas including month-end, reconciliations, VAT, fixed assets, and reporting.

Key responsibilities:

• Month-end journals (accruals, prepayments, reclasses)
• Balance sheet & bank reconciliations across multiple entities
• Assisting with management accounts and reporting packs
• Intercompany reconciliations and variance analysis
• VAT returns across multiple jurisdictions
• Maintaining the fixed asset register
• Supporting audits and ongoing finance projects
• Assisting with reporting and data analysis using Power BI
