Job summary

Digital Realty in Dublin seeks a qualified accountant to lead monthly, quarterly and annual group reporting under US GAAP and local GAAP for a portfolio of entities and real estate holdings. You will own the numbers feeding multiple finance functions and partner with asset management, sales, FP&A, and site operations.

You will drive statutory audits across Europe, contribute to standardisation of P2P, O2C, and R2R processes, and support integration projects while ensuring compliant financial

Qualifications

  • Qualified or nearly qualified accountant with multinational accounting experience.
  • Experience owning ledgers for monthly HQ reporting and local compliance, including audits and VAT.
  • Experience with IFRS, local GAAP and/or US GAAP.
  • Real estate accounting knowledge and lease accounting concepts.
  • Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls.
  • Strong systems knowledge and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual group reporting under US GAAP and local GAAP for a portfolio of entities and property set of books.
  • Own numbers feeding into the books from diverse finance areas such as Fixed Assets, Intercompany, AR, Bank & Cash, AP, VAT.
  • Collaborate in a matrix finance team with Construction Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and SOX.
  • Review transactions and balance sheet accounts as part of month-end close controls; follow up on reconciling items.
  • Take responsibility for local statutory audits across Europe and liaise with management and external providers.
  • Support internal teams (asset management, sales, FP&A, site operations) and external service providers for compliance & filings.
  • Contribute to standardisation of processes across P2P, O2C, and R2R; participate in integration and finance projects.

  • Important contribution in the accounting and internal control systems, and be proactive in leading improvements focused on finance operational excellence

What You’ll Need
  • Qualified or nearly qualified accountant, with experience in a multinational accounting environment
  • Experience being fully responsible for several ledger entities or ledgers for monthly HQ reporting & local compliance, including leading audits, VAT reporting and supporting the Tax Dept
  • Experience of IFRS, local GAAP and/or US GAAP beneficial
  • Real estate accounting experience & knowledge of lease accounting concepts advantageous
  • Understanding & working knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley
  • Strong systems knowledge and intermediate/advanced Excel skills are required
