Job summary

PT Kokai Indo Abadi in Indonesia seeks a Product & Process Design Engineer to develop, improve, and industrialize valve products from concept through prototype and production. You will work with API/ASME/ASTM/JIS standards, prepare 2D/3D drawings, BOMs, and documentation, and collaborate with manufacturing, QA, purchasing, and suppliers to ensure quality and manufacturability.

The role requires hands-on problem-solving, experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and strong communication in English.

Qualifications

• Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in mechanical product design/manufacturing engineering.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and capable of creating and interpreting 2D engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of API, ASME, ASTM, JIS, or other relevant standards, preferably in valve/oil & gas/industrial equipment industries.
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve valve product designs based on API, ASME, ASTM, JIS, and other standards.
• Prepare and maintain 2D drawings, 3D models, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Perform product design activities using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Plan project milestones, development schedules, and deliverables.
• Develop prototypes and coordinate testing, evaluation, and validation.
• Review design specs, tolerances, materials, and interfaces for manufacturability.
• Apply APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, and related quality planning activities.
• Identify and resolve technical problems via root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Purchasing, suppliers and other departments.
