Job summary

Superyacht Crew Academy is seeking a Sole Engineer to join a privately operated 30m Moonen yacht in Bali. You will lead the engineering department and oversee maintenance and daily technical operations on a low-use private program.

Requirements include STCW, AEC 1 & 2, MEOL preferred; ability to join within 1 week and be available for immediate fly-out. Seasonal contract with Bali starting point.

Qualifications

• Must have STCW certification.
• AEC 1 & 2 minimum requirements.
• MEOL preferred.
• Strong maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work independently and join within 1 week.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the vessel’s engineering department and maintenance.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sole Engineer to join a privately operated 30m Moonen motor yacht, currently in Bali.

The yacht has a guest trip commencing 11 October, followed by an itinerary through Singapore, Thailand, the Red Sea and Europe, so they are looking for someone who can join ASAP.

Position Snapshot

• $6,000 USD / month
• Starting in Bali
• ASAP start
• Fly-out required within 1 week
• Approx. 60 days leave – TBC
• Temporary candidates will also be considered

The Role

This is a low-use private program with small guest numbers, typically 2 adults and 3 children, and a total crew of just 4.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the vessel’s engineering department, maintenance and day-to-day technical operations.

The owner is ideally looking for someone seeking a long-term/permanent position, however an experienced engineer available for a temporary assignment is also encouraged to apply given the immediate requirement.
