Job summary

Legends Bistro Bar & Sports in Bali seeks an experienced Yacht Operations & Fleet Manager to lead the yacht fleet’s day-to-day operations, maintenance coordination, and crew management. This full-time role focuses on safety, regulatory compliance, financial efficiency, and exceptional guest service during charters.

The candidate should have 10+ years in yacht or maritime fleet ops, strong leadership, and a track record with luxury hospitality or charter settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in yacht or maritime fleet operations management.
• Advanced knowledge of maritime regulations, safety standards, and international maritime law.
• Proven experience managing diverse crews in a hospitality or charter environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
• Proficiency in fleet management software and marine operations systems.
• Demonstrated budget management and financial acumen.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to health and safety standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of vessel maintenance, engineering systems, and technical operations.
• Valid maritime certifications and qualifications (Master's Licence or equivalent highly advantageous).
• Experience in a luxury hospitality or charter service environment preferred.
• Fluency in English; additional languages an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily operations of all vessels within the fleet, ensuring efficient scheduling and utilisation.
• Coordinate vessel maintenance programmes and schedules, ensuring all craft are maintained to the highest standards and in full compliance with maritime regulations.
• Manage and supervise crew members, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, maritime laws, and international maritime regulations.
• Monitor fuel consumption, operating costs, and other financial metrics to maximise fleet efficiency and profitability.
• Maintain detailed records of fleet maintenance, inspections, repairs, and crew certifications.
• Coordinate with clients and guests to ensure exceptional service delivery and satisfaction during charter operations.
• Manage vessel provisioning, supplies, and spare parts inventory.
• Conduct regular safety drills and training sessions for crew members.
• Develop and implement fleet operational procedures and best practices.
• Liaise with port authorities, maritime authorities, and regulatory bodies as required.
• Report regularly to senior management on fleet performance, operational challenges, and recommendations for improvement.

About the role We are seeking an experienced Yacht Operations & Fleet Manager to join our team on a full-time basis in Bali. This is a strategic leadership position that will oversee the management and operations of our yacht fleet, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and profitability. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance coordination, crew management, and ensuring all vessels meet regulatory compliance standards. This role is critical to maintaining our reputation for excellence in maritime hospitality and operations.
