Job summary

Superyacht Crew Academy is seeking a capable Temporary / Relief 2nd Engineer for a ~49m private/ charter Feadship, operating in Indonesian waters. The assignment runs 4–24 November 2026, with dates flexible within this period.

The role focuses on routine maintenance, machinery and systems checks, and general engineering duties alongside the vessel's existing team. A practical, hands-on mindset and readiness to join in Indonesia are essential.

Qualifications

• MEOL, EOOW or equivalent – essential.
• Previous yacht engineering experience preferred but not essential.
• Strong practical engineering skills and sound mechanical knowledge.
• A hands-on and solutions-focused approach.
• Valid STCW Basic Safety Training.
• Valid ENG1 or equivalent medical certificate.
• Must be available and able to join the vessel in Indonesia.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and machinery checks.
• Carry out systems checks and general engineering duties.
• Work alongside the existing engineering team.
• Be hands-on and contribute to day-to-day vessel operations.
