Qualifications

  • Valid STCW Basic Safety Training.
  • Valid ENG1 or equivalent medical certificate.
  • Must be available and able to join the vessel in Indonesia.

Position Snapshot

  • Approx. USD $200/day – negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
The Role

A well-presented ~49m Feadship motor yacht is seeking a temporary 2nd Engineer to provide leave cover for the vessel’s current 2nd Engineer.

The yacht operates throughout the South Pacific and Indonesian region and will be based in Indonesian waters during the assignment. There are currently no guest trips scheduled, with the vessel expected to remain on standby for potential charter or owner use, although activity during this period is considered unlikely.

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for routine maintenance, machinery and systems checks, and general engineering duties, working alongside the existing engineering team.

This is a hands-on role suited to an engineer who takes a practical, common-sense approach and is happy to get involved with day-to-day vessel operations.

Requirements

MEOL, EOOW or equivalent – essential

Previous yacht engineering experience preferred but not essential

Preferred Location

Candidates currently based in Asia, Australia, New Zealand are preferred due to the relative ease of travel and joining arrangements.
