Job summary

Tentang Anak seeks a Senior Technical Lead to drive engineering excellence while mentoring a growing team. You will guide system design for monolithic and microservices architectures, ensure scalable, secure solutions, and maintain code quality through rigorous reviews.

You will partner with Product, Design and QA to ship valuable features rapidly, balance technical debt with delivery, and foster a product engineering mindset across engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend or full-stack engineering in product environments.
• 2+ years leading or mentoring engineers in a team setting.
• Hands-on with code while providing technical leadership.
• Strong knowledge of system design including microservices, performance tuning, monitoring, and secure architecture.

What You’ll Own

Technical Leadership

• Lead by example with hands-on code development while guiding system design and architecture
• Design, develop, and maintain robust systems (monolithic and microservices), including commerce transactions, content delivery, and user personalization
• Ensure code quality, system scalability, and security in all solutions
• Conduct thorough, high-standard code reviews to maintain best practices across the team
• Make sound architectural decisions that balance ideal solutions with business needs and timelines

Team Mentorship

• Coach engineers of all levels, helping them develop both technical skills and product thinking
• Foster a product engineering mindset in the team—every engineer understands the “why” behind their work
• Model ownership, clarity, and effective collaboration

Cross-functional Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with Product, Design, QA, and other departments to deliver impactful features quickly without sacrificing quality
• Help define, refine, and improve engineering processes (planning, sprints, retrospectives) to maximize team velocity and clarity
• Unblock engineers and ensure delivery aligns with business priorities

You’re a Fit If You…

• Have 5+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience, ideally in fast-paced product environments
• Have 2+ years leading or mentoring engineers in a team setting

Seniority & Scope

This is a senior individual contributor role with technical leadership responsibility.
You will lead a small-to-medium engineering team (typically 2 - 4 developers), mentoring them while staying hands-on with code development.
You’ll be responsible for technical direction, system design, code quality, and delivery outcomes within your squad or functional area.
You’ll work closely with the Engineering Manager (EM), Head of Engineering (HoE), Product team, and COO to align priorities with business goals, ensuring a balance of technical excellence and pragmatic delivery.
