Job summary

PT Thermax International Indonesia is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment at our Malang site. You will install, test, calibrate, and repair field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters, and troubleshoot motors, MCCs, and VFDs.

You will support PLC/SCADA and other automation systems, read drawings and P&IDs, participate in commissioning and start-up

Job description

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment.

Install, inspect, test, calibrate, and repair field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.

Troubleshoot electrical systems including motors, MCCs, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).

Maintain and support PLC, SCADA, and other automation control systems.

Diagnose and resolve electrical and instrumentation faults to minimize equipment downtime.

Inspect, test, and maintain control valves, sensors, actuators, analyzers, and associated control loops.

Read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and instrument specifications.

Perform electrical testing using appropriate measuring and diagnostic instruments.

Assist in commissioning, start-up, shutdown, and modification of plant equipment and control systems.

Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures.

Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, reports, and work orders through CMMS.

Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.

Coordinate with operations, and maintenance teams to support continuous plant operation.

Monitor spare parts inventory and recommend replenishment requirements.

Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and efficiency.

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations.

Ensure all electrical and instrumentation systems operate safely, accurately, and reliably.

Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment and machinery.

Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical faults to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

Maintain and repair pumps, compressors, conveyors, gearboxes, valves, motors, bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring of equipment.
