Job summary

PT Cirebon Energi Prasarana (PLTU Cirebon) seeks an Instrumentation and Control Technician to maintain, inspect, calibrate, and troubleshoot I&C systems across the power plant, ensuring safe, reliable operation.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, read P&IDs and diagrams, assist with testing, start-up/shutdown, and maintain records; strong safety awareness and teamwork are essential, with basic English preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma (D3) or relevant technical qualification in Instrumentation, Electronics, Control, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of I&C maintenance experience in a power plant or similar process industry.
• Basic knowledge of instrumentation including 4–20 mA signals, pressure, temperature, flow, level, RTD, thermocouple, and control loops.
• Basic knowledge of PLC/DCS, I/O checking, alarms, permissive, interlocks, and signal troubleshooting.
• Able to use common electrical and instrumentation testing and calibration tools.
• Able to read technical drawings, diagrams, and equipment manuals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, inspect, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems to support safe, reliable plant operation.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation and control equipment.
• Inspect, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot field instruments, sensors, transmitters, control valves, actuators, analyzers, and related equipment.
• Check instrument signals and control loops from field equipment to PLC/DCS.
• Support troubleshooting of alarms, interlocks, permissive, control systems, and instrumentation-related equipment problems.
• Read and understand P&ID, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Support functional testing, start-up/shutdown, overhaul, maintenance, and commissioning activities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and calibration records in accordance with company procedures.
• Follow PTW, LOTO, and applicable safety procedures, and coordinate effectively with Operation and other maintenance teams.

Requirements

Good basic knowledge of instrumentation, including 4–20 mA signals, pressure, temperature, flow, level, RTD, thermocouple, and control loops.

Basic knowledge of PLC/DCS, I/O checking, alarms, permissive, interlocks, and signal troubleshooting.

Able to use common electrical and instrumentation testing and calibration tools.

Able to read technical drawings, diagrams, and equipment manuals.

Good safety awareness, troubleshooting ability, accuracy, teamwork, and communication skills.

Basic English proficiency, preferably with a minimum TOEFL ITP score of 400 or IELTS score of 4.0, or equivalent.

Willing to work beyond normal working hours to support shutdown, overhaul, or emergency activities when required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in power plant instrumentation and control systems across turbine, boiler, BOP, or other plant areas is an advantage.
