Job summary

Wilmar Group is seeking a Technical Sales Assistant Manager for flexible packaging to develop new customers and manage existing accounts across multiple sectors. You will identify opportunities, prepare quotations and proposals, provide technical recommendations on materials and structures, and coordinate with R&D and Production teams.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years in flexible packaging and 2–3 years in technical sales or key account management, with fluent English and Mandarin as an added

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Technology, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Polymer Science, Food Technology, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Flexible Packaging, Packaging Materials, Printing, Converting, or related industries.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or key account management.
• Experience handling FMCG, Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, or Consumer Goods customers is preferred.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Achieve assigned sales volume, revenue, and profitability targets.
• Develop new customers and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts.
• Identify new business opportunities within the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care, and industrial sectors.
• Prepare quotations, commercial proposals, and customer presentations.
• Support negotiations on pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements.
• Provide technical recommendations on flexible packaging materials and structures based on customer requirements.
• Coordinate product development projects with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Production teams.
• Assist customers with packaging trials, machine runs, and performance evaluations.
• Troubleshoot packaging-related issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct regular customer visits and maintain strong customer engagement.

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Mandarin proficiency will be an added advantage
