Job summary

Wilmar Group is seeking a skilled professional to manage community relations, security coordination, and permit compliance across plantation sites in Sumatera Selatan and neighboring regions. The role focuses on sustaining CSR initiatives and ensuring regulatory alignment.

You will build stakeholder trust, monitor issues, facilitate dialogues, and support audits for ISPO/RSPO while maintaining accurate license records and liaising with government agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Social Science, Public Administration, Security Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the palm oil or agribusiness industry.
• Good understanding of plantation regulations, land permits, and security operations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Job description

To ensure effective management of social relations with local communities, maintain the security of plantation operations and assets, and manage the acquisition and renewal of all necessary permits and licenses. The role plays a key part in supporting plantation sustainability and legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and maintain good relationships with local communities, traditional leaders, and stakeholders.

Monitor and address community issues, grievances, and potential conflicts.

Support the implementation of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and community development programs.

Conduct social impact assessments in collaboration with internal and external parties.

Facilitate dialogue and conflict resolution between the company and community groups.

Monitor and respond to potential security threats, theft, land encroachment, or vandalism.

Coordinate with local police and security agencies when necessary.

Identify, obtain, and renew all legal permits and operational licenses related to plantation activities (e.g., HGU, IUP, IMB, environmental permits).

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all licenses and regulatory documents.

Ensure compliance with local, regional, and national government regulations.

Liaise with government agencies, local authorities, and legal consultants regarding permitting processes and land legality.

Support audits and inspections related to legal compliance and certification (e.g., ISPO, RSPO).

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Social Science, Public Administration, Security Management, or a related field.

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the palm oil or agribusiness industry.

Willing to live and work in remote plantation sites in Sumatera Selatan, Riau, Kalimantan Barat.
