Job summary

Second Talent is seeking a Technical Lead to drive the architecture and delivery of our backend platform. This role blends hands-on engineering with leadership, mentoring engineers and ensuring high-quality execution across projects.

You will lead scalable backend systems design, provide technical guidance to backend, QA, and DevOps teams, and review architecture decisions, code quality, and deployment strategies while coordinating multiple engineering workstreams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS.
• Experience designing high-availability distributed systems.

About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Lead to drive the architecture, delivery, and technical direction of our backend platform. This role combines hands‑on engineering with leadership responsibilities, mentoring developers and ensuring high-quality execution across projects.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong expertise in TypeScript / Node.js / NestJS
• Experience designing high-availability distributed systems
• Strong understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure
• Experience with PostgreSQL / Aurora
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and lead technical initiatives
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

• Experience leading remote or distributed engineering teams
• Background in Web3, blockchain, or high-growth startup environments
• Familiarity with Terraform and infrastructure automation
