Nodewave is seeking an experienced Tech Lead/Senior Fullstack Engineer to own the end-to-end system architecture across the frontend, backend, database, and infrastructure. You will drive scalability, resilience, and maintainability while documenting key technical decisions.
You will shape AI data modeling, API contracts, authorization strategy, and multi-tenant patterns, mentoring engineers and collaborating with Product Management, UI/UX, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software.
Owning the end-to-end system architecture (frontend, backend, database, infrastructure) and being accountable for its scalability, resilience, and maintainability.
Making and documenting key technical decisions ‚AI data modeling, API contracts, authorization strategy, concurrency handling, and technology trade-offs.
Designing and guiding the implementation of multi-layered authorization (RBAC + ABAC) that depends on role, department, and task state.
Architecting the Dependency-Aware Task Board, including task state machines and automatic status blocking based on the prerequisites of other tasks.
Defining the strategy for architectural resilience ‚AI Race Condition handling via Optimistic Locking, Soft Deletes, and an Immutable Audit Trail.
Owning Multi-Tenant data isolation and guaranteeing no cross-tenant data leakage across the query, API, and permission layers.
Writing and reviewing production code across the full stack using strict TypeScript ‚AI Next.js 16 (App Router), React 19, and Tailwind CSS 4 on the frontend; Bun, Hono, Prisma ORM, and PostgreSQL on the backend.
Setting and enforcing engineering standards: clean code, code review discipline, modern tooling (Biome, Husky), Conventional Commits, and a solid testing culture.
Owning the CI/CD pipeline (e.g., GitHub Actions) and managing the deployment process of the API and frontend to cloud infrastructure (Vercel, Railway, Render, etc.), including migrations, environments, and rollbacks.
Mentoring and growing engineers through pairing, code review, and technical guidance.
Collaborating closely with Product Management, UI/UX, and fellow Engineers‚AI shaping scope, surfacing technical risk early, and ensuring specifications are met with high quality.
Job Requirements
Proven experience as a Tech Lead, Staff, or Senior Fullstack Engineer on complex, production-grade web applications, with a track record of owning systems end-to-end and leading delivery.
Deep expertise in the Frontend stack: Next.js (App Router), React, TypeScript, and styling with Tailwind CSS & Radix UI / shadcn.
Experienced in state management and data fetching using TanStack Query 5 and Zustand 5.
Strong command of the Backend stack: Bun, frameworks like Hono, ORM (Prisma), and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
Strong system design skills‚ AI designing efficient database schemas, creating entity DTOs, and enforcing solid data validation using Zod.
Strong understanding of JWT-based authentication, session management, and API security.
High-level analytical and architectural skills, particularly around Multi-Tenant data isolation, concurrent data synchronization (concurrency), and race condition handling (Optimistic Locking).
Proven ability to design and enforce complex authorization models (RBAC + ABAC) driven by role, department, and state.
Leadership and communication skills— able to mentor engineers, align stakeholders, resolve technical disagreements, and make sound decisions under ambiguity.
Disciplined in clean code and modern tooling standards (Biome, Husky) and version control workflows (Conventional Commits).
Experienced in setting up and owning CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) and driving a testing strategy (unit + integration) for services and UI components.
(Bonus) Experience with observability/monitoring in production, database scaling and query optimization, containerization (Docker/IaC), and defining hiring bars / interviewing engineers.
