Job summary

Samudera Indonesia seeks a senior engineer to oversee port operations, ship movements, loading/unloading coordination, and safety programs across our network.

You will lead teams, analyze operational data to boost efficiency, ensure IMS compliance, and mentor staff while coordinating with stakeholders across Indonesia and beyond. Fluency in Indonesian and English is required.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Professional fluency in Indonesian and English (written & spoken).
• Technical Proficiency: Microsoft Office, MS Project/Primavera, AutoCAD, SketchUp, SAP2000/ETABS
• Demonstrated leadership, strategic decision-making, effective communication, adaptability, strong teamwork, and a positive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage the arrival and departure of ships, coordinate loading/unloading and regulate port movements.
• Provide adequate facilities and safety procedures for ships, cargo, and workers.
• Analyze operational data to improve efficiency, evaluate performance, and make data-driven decisions.
• Develop team members through mentoring, coaching, and counseling.
• Ensure the implementation of an Integrated Management System and the identification, documentation, and control of risks.
• Foster commitment to understand and adhere to Integrated Management System requirements.
• Participate in accident/incident investigations and provide accurate information.
• Engage in information security control processes to protect company assets.

Main Responsibilities

• 1. Manage the arrival and departure of ships, ensure loading and unloading takes place smoothly, and regulate ship movements within the port.
• 2. Provide adequate facilities and safety procedures for ships, cargo, and workers at the port.
• 3. Analyze operational data to improve efficiency, evaluate performance, and make data-driven decisions.
• 4. Responsible for developing team members through various means, such as mentoring, coaching, counseling, etc.

General Responsibilities

• 1. Ensure the implementation of an Integrated Management System, including the identification, documentation, and control of risks in the relevant department's work area.
• 2. Foster and ensure the commitment of every team member to understand and adhere to all applicable Integrated Management System requirements.
• 3. Be willing to participate in the investigation process of accidents, incidents, or actions that may lead to incidents caused by unsafe actions or unsafe conditions, including providing accurate information and reports based on known facts.
• 4. Be willing to engage in the information security control process applied to protect the information assets and information processing assets owned and/or managed by the Company from threats to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
