Job summary

DOKU is hiring a System Reliability Engineer to ensure availability and reliability of our systems, driving optimization, automation, and cost efficiency. You will scale infrastructure, automate tasks, and support CI/CD with Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Docker.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in reliability engineering or related roles, strong Java skills, and experience with incident management and observability tools. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in system reliability engineering or similar roles (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
• Proficient in building and maintaining scalable and reliable infrastructure.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools (Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker).
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud).
• Proficient in Java programming (minimum 2 years).
• Experience with incident management and observability tools (PagerDuty, Grafana, Datadog).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

System Reliability Engineer (Future Opening)

Ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of DOKU’s systems and applications while driving optimization, automation, and cost efficiency across infrastructure and resources.

What Will You Do:

Ensure that DOKU’s systems and applications are consistently available and reliable, meeting uptime and performance targets.

Assist in scaling the infrastructure and applications efficiently as the company grows, ensuring smooth operations during increased workloads.

Identify opportunities for optimization within the infrastructure, applications, and processes, increasing observability to proactively detect and resolve issues.

Automate routine tasks to reduce manual efforts, improve system efficiency, and optimize resource utilization to manage costs effectively.

Support the implementation of CI/CD processes using tools such as Jenkins, OpenShift, and Kubernetes to streamline development and deployment activities.

Participate in incident management by using observability tools such as PagerDuty, Statuspage, Datadog, and Grafana to monitor system health and quickly resolve issues.

Work with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud, or GCP to manage and optimize cloud-based infrastructure.

Provide Level 2 technical support for system integration, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and providing assistance to internal teams.

What we are looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field

1-2 years of experience in system reliability engineering or similar roles (fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply)
