Job summary

DOKU is seeking a senior software architect to design and own the system architecture, guiding engineers through complex tasks and ensuring robust, secure payment-focused platforms. You will shape technical strategies, mentor teams, and coordinate with leaders to implement plans from design to deployment.

Based in Jakarta, you will lead critical production issues, review deployments, and drive improvements across engineering processes while collaborating with stakeholders to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or system architecture.
• Proven experience handling critical tasks, production issues, and system ownership in fast-paced environments.
• Experience mentoring engineering teams through complex technical problems.
• Willing to work from Jakarta office.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage technical strategies to drive team objectives, ensuring tasks are executed efficiently and on time.
• Design, maintain, and create API specifications using Swagger/OpenAPI for internal and external clients.
• Take ownership of the system architecture to align with business needs and best practices.
• Collaborate with Technical Leaders and Solution Architects to refine implementation plans and guide the engineering team.
• Lead production issue war rooms and provide timely, effective resolutions.
• Review merge requests and deployments to ensure correctness and minimize deployment failures.
• Provide feedback on team performance based on code reviews and interactions.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and capture lessons learned.
