Job summary

Hexagon in Balikpapan, Indonesia, seeks an IMS Support Engineer to deliver remote technical support for Drilling optimisation, Radar Solutions, and Integrated Machine Systems. You will educate clients, support Hexagon teams, and ensure high safety and quality standards while occasionally visiting sites.

The role is based in our head office with occasional travel; you will work Monday to Friday with adhoc site travel requirements, supporting a global client base from Balikpapan.

Qualifications

• Experience in mining OT technology or FMS is desirable.
• Background in networking or communications is desirable.
• Experience in training and partnering with customers on technology deployment.
• Ability to build relationships across diverse customer and stakeholder groups.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa (written and spoken).
• High School Diploma.
• Certificate IV in IT or related field (desirable).
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
• First aid certificate (desirable).
• Proven success in customer-centric, solution-focused engagement.

The Position

Reporting to IMS Manager you will join a global team supporting our Integrated Machine System portfolio. As a IMS Support Engineer role is to effectively deliver competency training and value education to all relevant stakeholders for Hexagon's Drilling optimisation, Radar Solutions and Integrated Machine Systems products, systems, and services. Providing customers with ongoing and proactive technical support and advice through regular communication and system oversight, while maintaining high product, safety, environmental, and quality standards. This role will primarily provide remote support to our client base.

Role focus

This is a head-office-based technical support role, providing ongoing remote support to customers and guidance to Hexagon teams from Balikpapan. The role is primarily office-based, with occasional site travel to support customer requirements when needed. This role will see you work in our head office in Balikpapan Monday to Friday with adhoc site travel requirements.

In addition but not limited to the following responsibilities.

• Provide product and service implementation, competency training, and value education to stakeholders, face-to-face and remotely.
• Provide customers with ongoing and proactive technical support and advice through regular communication and system oversight.
• Provide technical support/guidance to other Hexagon business units/teams. Work with engineering and development teams to scope, test, and launch new products and features.
• Maintain, enhance, and adhere to Hexagon and client documentation and reporting standards, systems, processes, policies, and procedures, participating in audits when required.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control checks on products before they are assigned and delivered to site. present recommendations for continuous improvements and modifications, actioning them as necessary

About You

We are looking for a Field Engineer/ Service engineer/Product Support Engineer with a background in OT technology who is ready for the next step in their career, where your knowledge, skills, experience and passion can be brought to the forefront of your role. In addition, we are seeking those with the following skills or attributes.

• Prior experience within a mining operations working with OT technology or in FMS, network and communications would be desirable,
• Prior background in networking or communications would be desirable
• Prior experience in training and partnering with customer on Technology deployment or operational output
• Ability to build cohesive relationship across a diverse customer and stakeholder group.
• Skilled in both verbal and written communication in English and Bahasa is a must.
• High School Diploma
• Certificate IV in Information Technology or related field (desirable)
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
• First aid certificate - (desirable)
• Proven success in collaborating in a customer centric, solution focused engagement
