Job summary

PT AQS Group Indonesia seeks an experienced Supply Chain and Logistics Manager to lead procurement, inventory, warehouse operations, and export logistics for our manufacturing operations in Central Java. You will drive cost efficiency, on-time delivery, and operational excellence across the end-to-end supply chain.

This role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of purchasing, inventory, and export processes, and the ability to align production schedules with material availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Supply Chain, Logistics, Business).
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain and logistics.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing, inventory, warehouse, and export operations.
• Familiar with international shipping and customs regulations.
• Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in supply chain systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo).
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• English proficiency is a must.
• Willing to travel when required.
• Based in Karanganyar.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement processes, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Monitor inventory levels and stock movements to maintain optimal availability for production.
• Oversee warehouse organization, safety, and efficiency, including space optimization.
• Manage and lead the logistics team, including export coordinators, warehouse staff, and inventory controllers.
• Supervise export processes, including bookings, documentation, customs declarations, and on-time shipments to overseas clients.
• Ensure supply chain processes comply with local and international regulations and documentation requirements.
• Align production schedules with material availability to optimize flow and costs.
• Track and control logistics and supply chain expenses while maintaining efficiency.
• Set and report KPIs for supply chain teams to meet targets.
• Build relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, freight forwarders, and shipping companies to secure prices and delivery schedules.
• Manage supplier and vendor contracts and monitor performance.

Job Description:

The Supply Chain and Logistics Manager oversees purchasing, inventory management, warehouse operations, and export logistics to ensure smooth and cost-efficient operations. This position is responsible for ensuring timely and efficient supply chain management, cost optimization, operational efficiency, and on-time delivery of products to meet company targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee procurement processes, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure the timely delivery of goods.

Monitor inventory levels and stock movements while maintaining optimal stock availability for production without overstocking or understocking.

Oversee warehouse organization, safety, and efficiency, including space optimization and safety compliance.

Manage and lead the logistics team, including export coordinators, warehouse staff, and inventory controllers.

Supervise and coordinate export processes, including bookings, documentation, customs declarations, and on-time shipments to overseas clients.

Ensure that all supply chain processes, particularly export activities, comply with local and international regulations and documentation requirements.

Ensure alignment between production schedules and material availability to optimize production flow and inventory costs.

Track and control logistics and supply chain expenses, including inventory, storage, and transportation costs, while maintaining operational efficiency.

Set, monitor, and report key performance indicators for the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure that established targets are achieved.

Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, freight forwarders, and shipping companies to secure competitive prices, quality materials, and appropriate delivery schedules.

Manage supplier and vendor contracts and ensure that all terms, conditions, and performance indicators are fulfilled. Negotiate, review, renew, or terminate contracts based on performance and compliance with company standards.

Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks, including supplier reliability, transportation disruptions, and market volatility. Develop and implement strategies to minimize risks affecting supply chain continuity.

Conduct comprehensive supplier and vendor assessments covering performance, quality standards, delivery timeliness, and financial stability.

Analyze and reduce lead times for raw materials, including packaging materials, and finished goods to improve production and shipment schedules.

Identify and implement supply chain process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain and logistics.

Strong knowledge of purchasing, inventory, warehouse, and export operations.

Familiar with international shipping and customs regulations.

Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
