Job summary

Carroll Community College is seeking a Student Employee to assist daily operations of the Information Center and welcome faculty, staff, visitors, and students.

You will answer the multi-line phone system, respond to inquiries with directions, and support updates to information systems used by the Information Desk or Facilities Department. Shifts vary and are arranged at the department's discretion.

This role is suitable for Work Study students; the position pays $15.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Proficient keyboarding and basic MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Attention to detail and accuracy mandatory.
• Dependability and promptness are essential.
• Good phone manner and clear communication are required.
• Work-Study eligible students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily functions of Information Center
• Provide friendly welcome to faculty, staff, visitors and students
• Answer multi-line phone system
• Respond to in-person inquiries by giving information, directions, and occasionally accompany people to various locations on campus
• Assist as required to update information systems used by Information Desk or Facilities Department
