Qualifications

• Must have Federal Work Study eligibility.
• Requires High School Diploma.
• Demonstrates positive attitude and strong multitasking ability.
• Exhibits excellent phone etiquette and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Staff public desk and greet patrons entering and leaving the library.
• Assist patrons with general questions, check outs and returns.
• Answer phones, transfer calls, take messages and assist callers.
• Learn and master library software and library policies.
• Check in materials daily and handle book drop and in-house items.
• Check out laptops, reserves, books, equipment, DVDs and periodicals.
• Renew items and address lost, overdue or damaged items for patrons.
• Shelve circulating materials, reference books and periodicals.
• Fill printers and copiers with paper and manage supplies.
• Assist with black box delivery processing and holds.
• Conduct shelf reading as assigned and support training.
• Handle petty cash transactions and replenish supplies at cubicles.
• Complete projects and staff tasks as assigned.
