Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Tender and Administration Manager to lead the complete tender lifecycle and coordinate cross-functional teams across Sales, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Legal to prepare and submit winning tenders while maintaining governance and risk controls.

You will also oversee administration services for the business, ensuring timely submissions and strong stakeholder engagement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in tender management, bid management, commercial management, project coordination or business development.
• Experience within manufacturing, engineering, rail, mining, industrial services or heavy industry environments.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Demonstrated experience preparing complex tenders and proposals.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience using ERP and CRM systems.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Managing the complete tender lifecycle from opportunity identification through to submission and contract award.
• Coordinating cross-functional teams to develop competitive and profitable tender responses.
• Reviewing tender documentation and identifying commercial, technical and operational risks.
• Developing tender schedules and ensuring submissions are delivered on time.
• Supporting pricing development, contract reviews and commercial risk assessments.
• Maintaining tender registers, reporting and bid governance processes.
• Managing customer queries and tender clarifications.
• Driving continuous improvement in tender management practices and win rates.
• Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Providing administration support to ensure efficient business operations.
