Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Account Manager in Jakarta to manage key accounts and drive revenue growth through strategic account development. You will lead contract negotiations, coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Planning, and Finance, and deliver executive-level reviews.

The role requires 7–10 years in account management, strong ERP/SAP experience, and a proven track record in logistics and cost improvements. On-site work five days a week with a comprehensive rewards package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a related discipline.
• 7-10 years' experience in account management.
• Strong experience in contract negotiations, and Rail industry.
• Demonstrated experience managing import/export operations and international logistics.
• Proven success delivering cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
• Previous leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
• Experience working with ERP and inventory management systems.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP platforms.
• Knowledge of customs regulations, trade compliance, and international logistics requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships across assigned accounts.
• Drive revenue growth through account development and identification of new sales opportunities.
• Lead commercial management of customer contracts, including renewals, variations, pricing adjustments, and scope changes.
• Prepare and deliver monthly contract reports, customer reporting packs, budgets, and long-term capital plans.
• Develop and execute account growth strategies to increase profitability and market share.
• Analyse contract performance and identify opportunities for operational and commercial improvement.
• Lead customer meetings and present executive-level business reviews.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Engineering, and Finance teams to support strategic customer initiatives.
• Provide mentoring and functional leadership to Account Managers, Asset Planners, and support personnel
