Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Indonesia is seeking a seasoned procurement leader to oversee import/export activities and a high-performing logistics and purchasing team.

You will develop sourcing strategies and manage supplier relationships to align with global standards. You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Sales to optimize supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and drive cost reductions while ensuring compliance and ethical procurement across domestic and international

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business, Commerce, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 7-10 years' experience in procurement, logistics, supply chain, or materials management, including import/export operations and international logistics.
• Strong experience in supplier management, contract negotiations, and strategic sourcing.
• Proven success delivering cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
• Previous leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
• Experience working with ERP and inventory management systems.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and problem-solving capability

Responsibilities

• Manage domestic and international logistics operations, including transportation, customs clearance, and import/export activities.
• Oversee inventory planning, stock control, and warehouse operations to ensure supply continuity and inventory accuracy.
• Monitor procurement, logistics, and inventory performance metrics and provide regular reporting to management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, trade regulations, and ethical procurement standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
• Develop and implement procurement and sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead purchasing activities including supplier selection, contract negotiations, and procurement of goods and services.
• Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships while driving supplier performance improvements.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and deliver procurement efficiencies.
