Job summary

Techconnect.id in Jakarta, Indonesia seeks a Senior Category Specialist/Manager (CAT1) to lead tendering and contract management, drive cost optimization, mitigate risk, and ensure long-term value creation.

The role requires handling end-to-end tendering, major contracts, and cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders, using strong negotiation and analytical skills to secure favorable outcomes for the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in tendering, procurement, commercial, or contract management, incl. at least 3 years in complex contracts.
• Ability to manage full tender and contract lifecycle from request to award and finalization.
• Experience handling major, high-value, complex contracts and resolving contractual issues.
• Excellent analytical, cost-optimization, and negotiation skills.
• Strong knowledge of contract terms, risk allocation, governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to interpret contracts and advise operational stakeholders.
• Facilitate resolution meetings and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders during tendering and post-contract stages.
• Experience in performance-based agreements, contract administration, and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, influencing, and stakeholder-management; fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Responsibilities

• Handling and management of tendering process and contract development from receiving tender request until finalization.
• Handling of major complex contracts and solving major complex problems.
• Clarification, evaluation, and recommendation of tenders.
• Delivery of analytical and negotiation skills to achieve the best cost.
• Facilitation and driving of resolution meetings to obtain improvements across tenders and contracts.
• Interpretation of contracts providing advice and support to operational personnel.
• Facilitation of continuous improvement in ongoing contracts.
• Analysis of opportunities and issues to capture improvement.
• Administration management of performance-based agreements.
