Job summary

Michael Page is partnering with a leading distribution company in Indonesia to hire an HR Manager. The role combines hands-on HR operations with strategic people initiatives across payroll, compliance, recruitment, compensation, and employee relations.

You will assess current HR capabilities, lead headcount planning, design the annual appraisal cycle, and drive welfare programs to boost morale and retention in a commercial environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading full HR management, preferably in a commercial-heavy industry.
• In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Strong strategic HR initiative with a can-do attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading a comprehensive initial assessment of the current HR department, identifying gaps and provide improvement solutions.
• Manage payroll processing, attendance/leave management, employee record, and compliance administration; ensuring alignment and good governance.
• Lead headcount planning and organizational structure reviews, manage end-to-end recruitment via job portals or agencies.
• Own compensation & benefit function, in-charge of salary benchmarking initiative, comprehensive review of salary structure to ensure competitiveness.
• Manage employee relations.
• Design and lead the annual appraisal cycle, including KPI setting, calibration, and feedback delivery.
• Plan and drive welfare programs and team-bonding activities to support morale and retention.
