Job summary

Volex in Batam is seeking a Costing Analyst to support open-book costing for customer quotes, analyze inventory and freight costs, and collaborate with Sourcing, Quote Team and Engineering to accelerate quotations.

You will develop costing worksheets, track variances, review historic pricing and BOM movements, and implement processes that ensure consistent, compliant costing across the business. Proficiency in Excel and BI tools is essential, with 3–5 years in a cost/quote environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in costing/RFQ environments.
• Strong analytical and financial skills with ability to interpret complex data.
• Fluency in English; Mandarin a plus.
• Proficient with Excel, macros and BI tools.
• Ability to work across cross-functional teams in different time zones.

Responsibilities

• Inventory carrying cost analysis and optimization of freight and inventory costs.
• Breakdown analysis on FPO and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Prepare and maintain open-book costing for each required customer quote.
• Coordinate with Sourcing, Quote Team and Engineering to drive faster quotations.
• Create costing worksheets reflecting each cost component for management review.
• Develop processes ensuring compliance and consistency across the business.
• Able to interpret costing sheets from RFQ and analyze variances.
