Job summary

PT CICOR Panatec is seeking a Costing Engineer to provide technical and financial analysis for cost estimation and project costing in a global engineering environment. You will support new product introductions, develop detailed cost estimates, and prepare quotations.

You will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure accurate costing, while maintaining cost control compliance and timely reporting on project costs.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor degree (D3) in Engineering (Electro or Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years engineering experience in a global environment.
• Ability to work independently with leadership and self-running.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and respect for diverse cultures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing information for technical and non-technical aspects of new product introductions.
• Check customer documents and provide project feasibility information.
• Support and analyze project data to develop detailed cost estimates.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and advise on cost management best practices.
• Provide data for project budgets and track costs.
• Prepare new project quotations for part prices and NRE costs.
• Create and maintain costing data and templates.
• Track billing order closure and prepare cost reports.
• Ensure compliance with cost control policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve company goals.
• Source materials and communicate with suppliers for new projects.
• Select suppliers to obtain best prices.
• Control materials for running samples and coordinate with purchasing.
• Compare quoted materials with actual purchases before mass production.
• Estimate process timing for costing calculations.

Job description

Costing Engineer role focused on providing technical and financial analysis for new product introduction, cost estimation and project costing across a global engineering environment.

Responsibilities

Assist superior in providing all information for the technical and non technical matter related to the new product introduction. Check the adequecy of customer document and to provide information related to the project feasibility.

Support and provide analyze project data and develop detailed cost estimates.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide guidance on cost management best practices.

Provide the superior with the supproting data in project development budgets and track project costs.

Prepare the new project quotation related to the part prices and/or NRE cost for submission to customer.

Create and maintain costing data and templates.

Tracking and monitoring the billing order closure timely.

Prepare reports and presentations on project costs and cost management strategies as requested by superior.

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to cost control.

Hands on to the evaluation and testing jobs activity and able to estimate the process timing for costing calculation.

Create bill of material costing, drafting of manufacturing process of new part, specification for packaging, external supplier specification to provide standard cost structure and instructions for manufacturing.

Work together with other department to achieve company goals.

Perform other assigned duties as deemed necessary by their supervisor.

Source Material and Communicate with supplier for New Project.

Select supplier to get best price for new project.

Control material available to running Samples.

Communicate with purcher to purchasing material.

Quoted material vs actual purchase before mass production.

Required

Minimum Bachelor degree (D3) in Engineering (Electro or Mechanical), technical oriented or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 3 (three) years engineering experience in global environment, experience in multi national company will be advantage and Preferred in the tool fabrication field.

Ability to work independently, with a strong leadership and self-running.

Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Robust interpersonal skills with a good sense and respect for different cultures.
