Job summary

Pepito Supermarket in Bali seeks a Store Manager with 3–5 years in retail leadership to oversee daily operations, drive sales, and manage KPI performance. You will lead a large team, control costs, maintain inventory discipline, and ensure top-tier customer service in a premium supermarket environment.

The role requires shift work, weekend and holiday availability, and a strong emphasis on freshness, product quality, and compliance with SOPs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Management, Business, Retail Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years in supermarket/retail/FMCG with at least 2 years in Store Manager or Store Assistant Manager.
• Experience managing supermarket operations across multiple product categories (fresh, grocery, bakery, frozen, beverage, non-food).
• Strong understanding of sales management, targets, P&L, budgeting and store productivity.
• Good knowledge of inventory management, stocktaking, replenishment, expiry control, and shrinkage control.
• Understanding of merchandising, pricing, promotions, planograms, and product displays.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with capacity to coach and evaluate performance.
• Customer-oriented mindset, excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Willing to work on a shift basis, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall supermarket operations safely, efficiently, and in line with SOPs.
• Take responsibility for achieving store sales, profit, and operational KPIs.
• Monitor P&L, expenses, manpower costs, and budget utilization.
• Ensure product availability by monitoring stock levels, replenishment, and inventory turnover.
• Control near-expiry products and implement FIFO/FEFO by category.
• Minimize shrinkage by reducing losses, damages, waste, and discrepancies.
• Ensure accurate pricing, labeling, displays, and promotional information.
• Control merchandising execution, planograms, placements, and visual displays.
• Execute promotional programs and seasonal campaigns to meet targets.
• Maintain product quality and freshness of fresh produce, meat, seafood, bakery, and frozen items.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle complaints professionally.
• Lead and develop store team through coaching, briefings, and performance reviews.
• Plan workforce and ensure adequate manpower based on operations.
• Coordinate with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Finance, HR, Marketing.
• Analyze sales, inventory, and KPI reports to implement actions.
• Prepare regular store reports and improvement recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, policies, and regulations.
